At Trinity, we place a high value on the following:

A Christ Centered Life:
This is the heart of what we do. Nothing should ever take precedence over this mission.
The church exists to create disciples, worship God together, and then go out to do Kingdom work.
Our mission for all people is a lifetime dedication to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The belief that by Christ we are saved from sin and death and called to share in His resurrection is
and always will be central to our church.
It influences how we teach our young people, how we treat each other, how we worship God,
and what we do in our daily lives.
We will seek in every action to call people to acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and to go out
into the world to be salt and light.
We will mark these occasions regularly through Baptism and Communion.

We Are Community Driven:
Our vision is deeply steeped in the local community. We will continue to build a church where
fellow members are not just sharing a pew but sharing their lives. We are better when we work together.
God did not call us to be isolated, instead that we
would reach out to one another, care for each other, pray for each other, cry with each other,
and celebrate with each other. Community connections are central to our ministry philosophy.
Trinity desires to be a beacon, serving the needs of our area both spiritual and tangible.
Through missions and outreach we how our neighbors the love of God right here in Elliston.

Celebratory Worship:
The Gospel inspires us to react. While that doesn’t mean our lives are always sunshine and rainbows,
it does mean that in all things we remember that God is good and working for the good of those who
love Him. This should make us rejoice. Our worship services at Trinity Elliston are filled with joyous
and moving music. Our prayers are given earnestly with a heart for God’s Spirit to move within us.
Our study of the Word goes beyond Sunday morning and inspire us to action.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe in the triune God:  Creator, resurrected Christ, the sole Head of the church, and the Holy Spirit, who guides and brings about the creative and redemptive work of God in the world.

We believe that each person is unique and valuable.  It is the will of God that every person belong to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved.

We believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that each of us is at a different stage of that journey.

We believe that the persistent search of God produces an authentic relationship with God, engendering love, strengthening faith, dissolving guilt, and giving life purpose and direction.

We believe that all of the baptized belong body and soul to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We believe that all people of faith are invited to join Christ at Christ's table for the sacrament of Communion.

We believe the UCC is called to be a united and uniting Church.  "That they may all be one."  John 17:21

We believe that God calls us to be servants in the service of others and to be good stewards of the earth's resources.

We believe that the UCC is called to be a prophetic church.  As in the tradition of the prophets and apostles, God calls the church to speak truth to power, liberate the oppressed, care for the poor and comfort the afflicted.

We believe in the power of peace.

We are a people of possibility.  In the UCC, members, congregations and structures have the breathing room to explore and to hear... for after all, God is still speaking.
